Normatif is an indie alternative rock sibling duo consisting of Ical (vocals) and Adri (guitar). Creating and producing all their music from home — from recording to mastering — their close bond allows them to collaborate seamlessly and refine their sound continuously. In 2022, they released their debut album, Normatif I: Seharusnya/Sepantasnya, an eight-track, genre-fluid record that imagines a utopian world in need of a “messiah.” Through its thought-provoking themes, the album challenges social norms, blending influences from Kendrick Lamar, .Feast, and Billie Eilish, among others. Its release was accompanied by a theatrical showcase at Salihara Theatre. In 2024, as they transitioned from college to corporate life, Normatif returned with the EP Normatif II: Kejar Dunia, reflecting on their dreams, fears, and uncertainties about entering the workforce. The release was celebrated with a sold-out showcase at Krapela in December 2024. They are now preparing to release Normatif II: Kejar Dunia 9–5, an extension of their EP that adds five new songs capturing the challenges and reflections of life as corporate workers.
